| Friends From Lake George Escape Mid May found us back at Lake George Escape where we have workamped for the previous two summers. This would be our last summer as we will have a monthly income beginning in August. Next summer we will be traveling to the places that we have longed to see since we began fulltiming waaaaay back in 2006. This year we had lots of wild life visit us right at our site. Here are a few pictures and, again, these were all taken in our backyard. Over the past three years we have made a lot of good friends. The following pictures are of our fellow workampers in the Fun and Games Department (hold the cursor over the picture for the names). Missing, because we failed to get any pictures of them, are Jim and Sue Brown, Dave and Anne Wright, Tony Powers and Ryan Conklin (How could have we messed that up?). A few other high points in our summer were visits from our friends Doug and Anna Craw and Norm and Linda Payne, both from Rainbow Plantation. Allan and Jeanne Webster whom we met last winter and were workamping at Gifford Woods State Park in Killington, Vermont and Mike and Peggy Ervingham who are our good friends from Maine. Some of the photos were from the past as we were negligent in making new pictures at the time (Just what are we going to do with ourselves?). 2009 Patterson Summer Vacation The big highlight of the summer was our sons, Marc and Matthew, and their families comming to Lake George Escape for their summer vacations. It was the first time that all five grand children were together in one place at one time. Needless to say, we enjoyed spending time with all five of them, and their parents, while creating lots of fond memories. Grandkids Having Fun On Vacation: Family Pictures From The Summer: On top of everything else, I officially turned old age and have the card to prove it. I was, just as promised, standing at the front door of the Saratoga National Battlefield on my birthday with $10 in hand for my America the Beautiful - Senior Pass. Now I can visit all of the National Parks for free and camp in National Campgrounds for half price. Not that I advocate old age but once you reach it you have to embrace it :-) |
